Sittingbourne youngsters need only to look at Harry Smith to see what’s possible in football.
The former Brickies striker has scored three times in his first two appearances for League 1 Millwall over the past week.
It’s not even a year since the 6ft 6in forward left Woodstock Park for Folkestone.
The Brickies squad is packed with young players, including 17-year-old Jake Embery, who scored a last-minute winner at Godalming on Saturday.
Sittingbourne boss Nick Davis says they are right to look at Smith and dream.
He said: “It’s crazy to see what’s happening with Harry Smith.
“It would be great to see him continue to score goals and if he does, people will be taking notice of him. This time last year he was playing for us in Ryman South and now he’s in League 1 with Millwall.
“We’ve got a lot of young players and maybe in their hearts they think they can go on and play league football. It’s important not to run before they can walk but why shouldn’t they think like that?
“Harry Smith stands out because of his size but you look at what he’s doing and it just shows that anything is possible."
Brickies host fifth-placed Hythe at Woodstock on Saturday (3pm), missing midfielder Dan Parkinson (knee) and face Ramsgate for the fourth time this season when they travel to Southwood on Tuesday (7.45pm).
