A driver and passenger were hurt after their car left the road this afternoon and landed in a ditch.

The crash happened along the Old Ferry Road in Iwade at around 1pm.

Reports from witnesses suggested that the car tried to avoid a collision with a lorry.

A man in his 20s has been taken to King's College Hospital in London.

There were delays in the area as emergency services attended, but the road is now clear.
