POLICE are appealing for the public's help to trace a 84-year-old missing man.

He was last seen by his wife sitting on a chair at Tesco in Tenterden, near Ashford, between 10am and 11am on Wednesday. He was waiting there while his wife shopped.

CCTV footage from the store shows the man leaving and walking in the direction of the town.

The missing man is described as white, around 5ft 5in tall, clean-shaven with short white/grey hair. He was wearing a light-grey jacket, a brown and white checked shirt and dark-grey trousers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01303 289180.
