A garage was damaged this afternoon after a fire broke out in Tenterden.

Two engines were sent to the domestic garage in Smallhythe Road just before 4pm.

The fire is believed to have spread from an outdoor incinerator.

Wearing breathing apparatus, the firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

The extent of the damage is not yet known, but no injuries have been reported.

Crews left the incident just after 4.30pm.
