Elderly motorist cut from wreckage after accident in Ox Lane, St Michael's, Tenterden

An elderly motorist had to be cut from the wreckage of his car following an accident in St Michael’s, Tenterden, this morning.

It happened in Ox Lane, near Springfield Avenue, at 8.49am and involved just one vehicle which went off the road into a garage.

Firefighters from Tenterden and Cranbook cut the man free using hydraulic rescue equipment.

The man, in his 70s, was treated by paramedics at the scene and did not need to go to hospital.
