A moped rider has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash with a cyclist on a rural road this morning.

Emergency crews were called to the crash in Military Road in Appledore near Tenterden and the Romney Marsh at 10.30am.

An ambulance service spokesman said three vehicles were sent to the scene, and the air ambulance was also deployed.
