The Thresshers shop in Tenterden High Street

A ROBBER threatened to cut the throat of an 18-year-old shop assistant during a raid at a store.

Police have appealed for help in their hunt for the man who struck at Threshers in the high street at Tenterden, near Ashford.

The teenager behind the counter was left shocked by the ordeal and may not return to his job.

Manager Richard Caister said: “He was very shaken up by it and he doesn’t know whether he can face coming back.”
