Teenager taken to hospital after assault at Tenterden recreation ground

A teenager was reportedly knocked unconscious in an assault on a recreation ground.

Police are investigating after the boy was left needing hospital treatment in Tenterden on Saturday.

The attack happened near the pavilion at Tenterden recreation ground

Witnesses are being encouraged to come forward following the attack, which took place near The Pavilion between 2.50pm and 3.10pm

The victim reportedly fell to the ground after being hit by another teenage boy.

Eyewitnesses said that he was found unconscious immediately following the incident.

He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for treatment.
