Two men arrested over Chihuahua puppies stolen from High Halden

Two men have been arrested over the theft of two Chihuahua puppies from High Halden.

Officers launched an investigation after the puppies were stolen from Greenside, High Halden, on Tuesday, December 19, after two people went to look at the dogs that were up for sale.

During the viewing the puppies, an 11-month-old black and tan and a brown 16-week-old wolf sable, were taken outside before reportedly being stolen.

Two men left the area in a silver car.

An public appeal was launched for information which resulted in the puppies being handed over to police on Sunday, December 31.

Kent Police officers were able to reunite the Chihuahuas with their owner and continued to carry out enquiries.

On Thursday an 18-year-old man from Folkestone and a 28-year-old man from Hythe were arrested in connection with the incident, both men have been released pending further enquiries.

Officers would still like to identify the two men in the CCTV image that has been circulating as part of the witness appeal.
