A man has been arrested following a spate of drive-by rock attacks that claimed more than 20 victims.
The attacks, which involved rocks being hurled at cars from a passing vehicle, saw mainly women drivers suffer injuries or smashed windscreens.
Drivers in Tunbridge Wells, Benenden, Biddenden, Rolvenden, Sandhurst and Cranbrook reported being forced off the road and left terrified as the spree continued.
Police arrested a 35-year-old man from Dartford yesterday on suspicion of criminal damage in connection with the attacks.
He has been released on bail pending further enquiries until Wednesday, December 16, 2015.
One incident happened on Bodiam Road, Sandhurst, in July.
A mum-of-two was on her way back home with her 16-month old baby daughter in the back of her Vauxhall Mokka, when her car was struck leaving her with a £660 repair bill.
Another victim, Jennie Ivinson, from Sissinghurst, had her windscreen struck by a brick as she returned from a trip to Bodiam Castle with her young sons, aged three years and 17 months.
The 36-year-old was travelling along New Pond Road in Benenden in August, when a missile went through the windscreen of her Vauxhall Zafira, striking her in the face.
Jennie, who suffered a black eye and cuts to her right cheek and eyelid, was treated at Tunbridge Wells Hospital for her injuries..
Speaking at the time she said: “I was aware of a vehicle passing me and then bang, suddenly everything went black. My windscreen had blown and something hit me in the face.
“My three-year-old was screaming and I was really shaken.”
