Two cases of coronavirus have been confirmed at a Tesco superstore.
The store in Tenterden is remaining open despite the diagnosis of two of its employees.
However, the Smallhythe Road outlet is understood to have been placed on an enhanced cleaning regime.
It is not known when or where the employees contracted the virus.
A Tesco spokeswoman said: "The safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority.
"We have introduced extensive measures across all of our stores to help keep everyone safe, including protective screens at every checkout, social distancing signage and regular deep cleaning."
Official company guidance says that an employee will be paid in full from their first day of absence if they show symptoms or test positive for the virus.
New statistics from Public Health England revealed last week that coronavirus cases across Kent are at the lowest point they have been since lockdown began.
The figures showed 113 new cases in the county up to last Friday, the lowest since March.
This comes as the public look forward to further easing of lockdown restrictions tomorrow.
