A road was closed for more than four hours after a crash in Tenterden.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the A262 Biddenden Road after the accident involving two vehicles.

They arrived soon after 9.30am and the road was closed in both directions near the junction with Nortons Lane.

Drivers were urged to find alternative routes before the road reopened shortly before 2pm.

UPDATE: Police have confirmed a man in his 70s has died following the collision.
