People in Tenterden are being warned of delays after an accident on the Recreation Ground Road.

The accident, which involved two cars, took place during the busy lunchtime period near the High Street.

Emergency services attended the scene and a man has been taken to hospital.

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a collision involving two cars in a car park in Recreation Ground Road, Tenterden, at 12.08pm on Friday 14 July 2017.

"Officers are at the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service following a report of minor injuries.

"One man was taken to hospital as a precaution."
