An empty shop in a town centre has been filled by a health foods store.
Grape Tree has replaced the long-standing Tackle and Gun Shop, which closed last summer after almost 30 years in Tenterden.
Owner Graham Parry said a range of factors made the future of the shop uncertain, culminating in a make-or-break decision at the end of his lease.
These included rising costs plus a change in customer's shopping patterns.
The new branch is the third Grape Tree to open in the county, with others in Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells.
It sells health foods and wellbeing products, having been found in 2012.
Food ranges on offer include nuts, dried fruits, and seeds as well as personal care, minerals, vitamins and supplements.
It also offers products for all diets including vegan, dairy free, gluten free, organic, lactose free, nut free and keto.
Founder Nick Shutts said: "I am delighted to have opened a store in Tenterden.
“We are looking forward to bringing our Grape Tree feel good food message to the town and to welcoming customers into the store.”
Tenterden's deputy Mayor Sue Ferguson said: "Grape Tree is a welcome addition to Tenterden High Street.
"I hope they do really well."
