A luxury cosmetics retailer has confirmed it is to open a new store in a high street.
Space NK will be moving into 22 High Street, Tenterden, and the branch will be the first new store opening in 2019 for the premium beauty business.
The firm anticipates that the store will open in February and is now "actively recruiting" for a number of positions including a manager, assistant manager, supervisor, as well as a team of beauty advisors.
Upmarket brands that will be sold at the premises include Nars, Laura Mercier, Eve Lom, Herbivore, Oribe, Jo Loves and Kiehls.
The grade II listed building at 22 High Street, which dates from 1819 and features red brick and hipped dormers, is being re-fitted internally, with the addition of air conditioning and new signage for Space NK.
Planning application details note that the premises, next to the town hall, was the former home of Jeremiah Cliff, apothecary to Tenterden workhouse.
The premises was most recently used by Hospice in the Weald as a pop-up shop, but had previously been the home of Fat Face, now at 8 High Street and was for a long time the home of stationer Bartletts.
