Medicine was stolen after a burglary at a pharmacy in the early morning.
Police were called to the business in Station Road, Tenterden yesterday morning following reports it had been burgled.
The incident happened at around 5am and a quantity of medication was stolen, a spokesman said.
After working with CCTV operators and carrying out inquiries in the area, police tracked down a suspect just minutes later.
William Astin, of Station Road, Tenterden was arrested at 5.30am – less than half an hour after the reported break-in.
The 24-year-old was charged with burglary and has been released on bail to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on February 22.
