Vandals set fire to hay bales on a farm in Tenterden last night.
The blaze was started in the field off Grange Road, in St Michael's, which is owned by Silcocks Farm.
The louts moved the bales close together and set them alight. Nine were destroyed in total.
Fire crews from Tenterden were called to the scene, as were the police.
Beer cans were also discovered strewn across the field.
Silcocks Farm tweeted: "Thanks to Tenterden firemen who put bale fire out by railway line tonight evidence taken for finger prints."
Police are treating the blaze, which started between 5.30pm and 10pm, as arson.
A spokesman said: "Police were called to a report of a fire in Tenterden on the evening of Saturday, June 13.
"The fire has been recorded as arson and anyone with any information is asked to contact Kent Police on 101."
