A high street shop has shut just 18 months after opening.
Wideye in Tenterden has closed without warning, citing "increasingly challenging retail conditions" in the town.
The independent skincare brand, which also has stores in Brighton and Rye, only opened its doors at No. 106b on the High Street in July 2021.
A previous post from the company's Facebook profile described the town as "a perfect location for us".
"We've been eyeing up this lovely spot for a while now and we're really excited to be able to finally open up and share the news," it added.
However, a sign has now been posted in the window to say the store has been shut.
"With the increasingly challenging retail conditions in the town, we have had to made the difficult decision to close this branch," it added.
"Our WiDEYE stores in Brighton, Rye are trading as usual.
"Don't forget our full range of natural skincare products and gifts ideas along with all the latest news and advice is available on our website.
"We'd like to thank you and our team for supporting us and we hope to see you again soon."
After news of the closure spread on social media, a number of residents spoke of their disappointment.
One shopper said: "That's sad, such lovely stuff and locally made too."
Another added: "So sad, such a lovely shop but I don't think it was visible enough at that end of the high street. Sorry to see you go."
However, there has been good news for the town, with the introduction of health food shop Grape Tree, which has opened its doors today.
