Hundreds of pupils at schools across the district are back learning from home while they self-isolate due to positive Covid-19 cases in the classroom.
At Dame Janet Primary Academy in Ramsgate 129 pupils and staff have been sent home for 14 days after two teaching assistants tested positive for the virus.
Some 70 children at Ellington Infant School, also in Ramsgate, are also self-isolating after a confirmed case in a bubble containing Year 1 and 2 pupils.
And in Margate, 54 pupils at Garlinge Primary School and six members of staff are at home, after two positive cases of coronavirus within the school.
Head teacher of Dame Janet Primary Sam Atkinson confirmed the school is partially closed.
"I can confirm that unfortunately a teaching assistant who works in our Early Years and a teaching assistant who works in Year 3 have tested positive for Covid-19," he said.
"The school is following Public Health England (PHE) guidance and as a result the 129 pupils and our members of staff in those year group bubbles have been asked to self-isolate at home for 14 days.
"Children are receiving work at home and staff are supporting them with learning remotely.
"The rest of the school remains open with staff and pupils continuing to follow PHE guidance in terms of social distancing, handwashing and cleaning to minimise the spread of the virus and ensure everyone can continue to learn and work in a safe environment.
"We would like to thank staff, parents and carers and our pupils for their support and understanding during this difficult time."
At Ellington, head teacher Nicola Brown says they are sending work home to the 70 pupils wo are self-isolating and providing support remotely.
"Unfortunately, we have had a confirmed case of Covid-19 within a bubble that contains pupils from Years 1 and 2," she said.
"My colleagues and I are following PHE guidance and as a result 70 pupils and seven members of staff will be self-isolating at home until October 28."
Garlinge head teacher James Williams says the school received news today that there were two positive cases.
"One of the cases was in Year 2 and the other in Year 6," he said.
"As a result of this, two of our bubbles have been sent home, along with staff members who work in them. This amounts to 54 pupils and six members of staff.
"Immediately after we were informed, we contacted the Department for Education and are following PHE guidance to minimise the chances of a further spread of the virus within the school."
