Margate carnival filled the streets with colour yesterday afternoon.
As the town basked in glorious sunshine, spectators packed the route to watch floats, dancers, musicians, carnival courts, businesses, charities and entertainers go past.
Teams from the Pilgrims Hospice, Margate Fire and Rescue Service and the Sparkles Belly Dancing group were among those who took part.

Costumed performers were kept hydrated by helpers misting them with water as the mercury continued to rise throughout the afternoon.
The celebration was part of a hectic weekend by the seaside as music fans enjoyed Margate Soul Festival, which put on live performances in several venues across the town, both inside and outside.
Staff at cafes, bars and restaurants were kept busy all day providing refreshments for the crowds.
There was also a fun fair next to the Winter Gardens with a range of rides for youngsters to enjoy.
