A collision between a car and a transporter lorry at St Nicholas-at-Wade roundabout is causing chaos for rush-hour motorists on the Thanet Way.

One lane of the A299 London-bound carriageway was closed after the crash, which happened at 4.10pm.

The car has been recovered but the lorry was at the scene for several hours.

There are no reports of any serious injuries.

The crash was cleared by 7pm.
