Three Father Christmases will provide cheer at the award-winning Cliftonville Farmers Christmas Market at the Oval Lawns

Rousing music and a trio of Father Christmases will make shopping for fine festive fare a treat in Cliftonville on Sunday.

The last Cliftonville Farmers’ Market of the year will take place on the Oval Lawns from 10am to 1pm.

Thanet Concert Band will play while the Santas will distribute sweets.

Producers will be selling wild game, seasonal local fruit and veg, local honey, free range eggs, cakes, fruit pies, artisan bread, croissants, vegetarian slices, continental pastries, olives, preserves, chutneys, sauces, smoked fish, cheeses, savoury flans, meat, award winning sausages and savoury pies, olives, oils, juices, plants, hot coffee/teas/chocolate, hot bacon rolls, ginger wine and more.

The award-winning market is in its 13th year and one of the longest established in Kent seling 100% food and drink.

It is run by volunteers from the community for the community.

A fresh fish producer is top of organiser June Chadband’s new year’s wish list.

She said: “I find it amazing that we live by the sea and I cannot find one. The last one we had was from Dungeness and it became too far for them to travel.”
