Emergency crews are at the scene of a serious crash involving a van and a cyclist.

Police have closed off The Lanes and Grinsell Hill in Minster, and an air ambulance landed in a nearby field.

The crash happened shortly before 7.30am, with the incident sparking long tailbacks for those making their way through the Thanet village.

Police remain at the scene.

The Lanes merges into Grinsell Hill to the west of the village.

The air ambulance landed in a field next to the Wayside Caravan Park.
