Margate: Police appeal for witness following report of abusive comments

Following abusive comments reportedly being made to a man in Margate, police are appealing for witnesses.

A man reportedly visited a shop on Cecil Street multiple times, stole a can of drink and verbally abused the victim.

It happened between 1pm and 7.35pm on Sunday, May 28 inside the store.

The man is described as white, 35-years-old, bald, clean shaven with a heavy build.

He was wearing shorts, a blue t-shirt and a backpack.

Officers are keen to speak to a group of school pupils who witnessed the incident, as well as anyone else with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect.

Witnesses are asked to call the appeal line on 01843 222289 quoting reference number ZY/22313/17.
