Three men have been arrested after firearms officers were called to a town centre.

Armed police stopped a car in Northdown Road, Margate at about 12.30pm and the trio were arrested on suspicion of assault and public order offences.

It comes as part of an investigation being led by Cheshire Police.

The three men are being held in custody.
