A new micropub is being lined up to open in Ramsgate.
The bid for the new venue in the High Street has been revealed in a planning application submitted to Thanet District Council.
Applicants are hoping to transform a former beauty salon into the new drinking venue.
The team who run The Pub Micropub in Broadstairs - which opened last November - are behind the plans and are helping set up the new business for applicant Richard Yardley.
Documents sent to the council show Max Bell - one of the bosses at the Broadstairs micropub - is agent for the application.
The former Beauty by Alexandra business is currently vacant and it is hoped the micropub, which has not yet got a name, will open in September.
Mr Bell and Mr Yardley are applying for a change of use application which they hope will be granted by TDC’s planning officers.
Speaking to Thanet Extra, Mr Bell said: "The location in Ramsgate is intended to be along the same lines as the pub, but its independently owned.
"We will have little to no involvement in the new location, it's to be run as a business all of it own.
'The name isn't yet confirmed, and the aim is to be open by September,' planning agent, Max Bell
"My goal when starting The Pub was actually to franchise, to help other people start their own business and expand micropubs originally across Kent, and eventually across the UK, with any luck.
"The plan is to serve the same excellent range of cask ale, craft beer, wines and gins that have gone so well in The Pub."
"The name isn't yet confirmed, and the aim is to be open by September."
Mr Bell added the new micropub will serve mostly Kentish ale and guests from around the country.
"We also do the key keg craft beer which also tends to be Kentish," Mr Bell said." Lots of wine from all over too, gins and generally a very extensive range of ciders, although the new place will be starting with five very good ones and seeing how they get on."
It is expected the new venture will provide two full-time jobs.
Planning papers say the pub will be open from 5pm to 10pm on weekdays and from midday to 11pm on Saturdays.
Sunday and bank holiday opening is proposed to be from midday to 9pm.
The plans were submitted to the council in April with planners kicking off the planning process last month.
A public consultation on the proposals will run until June 14 - view the plans and comment at the Thanet council planning portal and searching application F/TH/19/0498.
