Despite being completely blind and 126 years old in cat years this frail feline is looking for a new home.

Black cat Isabella is living at the RSPCA's Thanet branch, where she spends her days in reception meeting and greeting visitors.

The 18-year-old came into the charity's care in April after her owner passed away.

Although a family member took her in, unfortunately their circumstances changed unexpectedly which meant they could not keep her anymore.

Emily Mayer, animal care assistant at the Thanet branch said: "At 18-years-old Isabella is in her twilight years and she is adored by everyone who meets her.

"She loves to be around people, being cuddled on their lap or being groomed.

"She is currently living in reception as she has become our unofficial greeter and she gets lots of attention there but we would really like to see her live her retirement days in a home where she can feel special every day.

She is blind and needs a new home (2674895)

"As an older cat, Isabella is blind, has high blood pressure and is on daily medication for this.

"However, the cost of the medication will be covered by the animal centre once she is in a new home.

"Ideally, we would like to find a quiet home for her but we will take it on a case by case basis, as always.

"The RSPCA never gives up on Golden Oldies and the Thanet branch is no exception, having recently rehomed a 12-year-old diabetic cat called Harry and a 16-year-old duo Chloe and Malibu.

“They may be older but they still have so much love to give.”

To rehome Isabella, or other cats like her, visit www.rspca.org.uk/findapet or call the Thanet branch on 01843 826180.
