Boy on bike hit by car in Gladstone Road, Broadstairs

A child was taken to hospital after being hit by a car while riding his bike.

The collision happened on Gladstone Road in Broadstairs shortly after 3pm today.

Emergency services were at the scene and the boy was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Traffic information site Inrix reported heavy traffic in the area at the time of the crash.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a cyclist in Gladstone Road, Broadstairs shortly after 3pm today.

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a boy was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
