Two boys injured after brawl erupts in Dane Park, Margate, with yobs armed with metal poles

Two boys were injured in a mass brawl inside a family park where yobs were seen armed with metal poles.

Police are investigating after they were called to a disturbance involving a group of teenagers in Dane Park, Margate.

Dane Park was shut by police at the weekend after reports of a sexual assault

Officers arrived at the scene shortly after 6.30pm on Wednesday and the group dispersed.

A police spokesman said: “A report was made that a boy, who was not found at the scene and who has not come forward to police, had been assaulted.

“It was later reported that a second boy had been assaulted and had received injuries to his arm and face.

“Inquiries to establish the full circumstances, including reviewing CCTV and speaking to witnesses, are ongoing.”

It is understood metal poles were seen and no arrests have been made.
