Rail replacement bus driver and woman attacked at Ramsgate railway station

A bus driver and a woman were attacked by a man who was told he could not board with his bicycle.

Transport police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the assaults at Ramsgate railway station.

A man assaulted the rail replacement bus driver after he was told he could not board with his bicycle, leaving him with a head injury.

The thug then went on to attack a woman at the bus stop - and then assaulted the bus driver again when he tried to intervene.

The incident happened on Tuesday, August 23 at about 11.30pm.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack, especially several people who came to the aid of the victims and helped stop the attack.

"They particularly would like to speak to a woman dressed in blue who helped."
