A road has been shut after a child was hit by car.

Police and paramedics were called to Margate Road, Ramsgate, at about 3.30pm following the collision involving a pedestrian and a car.

The victim, whose age has not been released, has been taken to hospital.

The road was closed between the junctions with Whitehall Road and St Luke’s Avenue, but it is understood it has since reopened.
