Another week passes us by in Thanet and I hope you had a safe and fun fireworks night last week.

We’ve now launched a new feature on Johnny Lewis’s breakfast show every Thursday morning. Each week Inspector Kevin Dyer will be popping in for a chat with Johnny about what’s happening here in Thanet and what Kent Police are doing in our area to combat crime. It will also give you an insight into what the police are generally up to locally.

So if you have a question you would like to put to Kevin and his colleagues please don’t hesitate to drop myself or Johnny a line and we’ll put your questions to him on your behalf.

Listen out for our special campaign during anti-bullying week later this month on kmfm -we’ve teamed up with Hartsdown Technology College at Margate to work towards stamping out bullying. It’s a simple message, bullying will not be tolerated in schools, and kmfm’s Martin Jefferies will be bringing us special reports through the week.

Oh, and before I forget - as we’re fast approaching Christmas we want to hear from you if you’re putting up festive lights this year. For charity or for fun, if you’re going to illuminate your home or street, then get in touch. More about this next week.

Until then, take care and remember if you want to know what’s happening in Thanet listen to kmfm on 107.2fm; remember to get a copy of this paper; or check us out online at www.thanetextra.co.uk

email Spencer at scork@kmfm.co.uk and catch up with his shows during the week from 11am
