Corrosive substance smeared across cars at forecourt in Birchington

A corrosive substance was smeared across four vehicles parked up at a Thanet garage.

Police have launched an investigation into the peculiar incident, which happened on Monday night in Birchington.

Police are appealing for help to solve the Canterbury Road vandalism

Damage was also caused to CCTV cameras at the forecourt in Canterbury Road, near to the junction with Broadley Avenue.

It is thought the vehicles were targeted with the corrosive substance at about 10.25pm.

Investigating officers are appealing for any witnesses, or those with private CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.
