Suspected county lines drug gang arrests made after cocaine and heroin found hidden in Ramsgate house

Drugs found hidden inside the wall of a house have been seized by detectives.
The raid took place in Ramsgate as part of an operation to tackle county lines gangs peddling cocaine and heroin in Thanet.
County lines refers to the practice of London-based drugs gangs selling drugs, typically crack cocaine and heroin, in the home counties.
Police arrested three people after searching the property in Townley Road yesterday.
The trio - two women from Ramsgate aged 25 and 27 and a 29-year-old man from Liverpool - were all arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
Officers recovered about 13 ounces of Class A drugs after discovering 800 wraps of what is suspected to be cocaine and heroin.
They also took mobile phones, scales and other items relating to drug dealing including an asp - a retractable baton.
All three people have been released under investigation.
The raid is part of Operation Raptor with officers covering the entire county and teams tasked with breaking up criminal gangs working to distribute drugs and exploiting vulnerable people.
