A moped rider is thought to have escaped a crash with a minor injury this afternoon.

Police were called to Tesco Extra's car park in Margate Road, Broadstairs, at 2pm.

It was reported that a crash had taken place between a car and a moped.

Police press officer Sally Smith said: "The moped rider is thought to have suffered a minor injury."
