Officers have released an efit of a man they would like to identify after a report of a sexual assault in Margate this morning.

A woman reported she was the victim of an incident which took place in the area of Trinity Square at around 3am.

Police are looking for assistance in identifying the man pictured in the e-fit as part of their ongoing enquiries.

Police spokesman Scarlet Jones said: "He is described as a man of Asian appearance, aged mid-30s to early 40s, 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a round stocky build, and a black short unkempt beard.

"He was wearing blue baggy jeans and a navy blue or black hooded top."
