Guardian Angels Dog Rescue is hoping to tug on heart strings in a bid to fundraise for a puppy's surgery.
Prince, an American bulldog x mastiff, needs all of his knees operated on - with a hefty bill of around £1,200 per leg.
The Thanet-based rescue was recently contacted asking them to take in the 10-month-old, who was going to be put to sleep as the owners were moving and were not able to take the dog with them.
Ros Bane, of Guardian Angels Dog Rescue, said: "We could not say no to this and took Prince in to foster.
"We have since discovered that Prince needs surgery on his knees as they keep popping out which must be uncomfortable for him.
"We have been told by the vet that we are looking at a bill of around £1,200 for each leg."
The centre relies on donations, are is constantly raising money and awareness in different ways.
Ros added: "We are always fundraising in various ways to keep the rescue running but are now trying to raise around £5,000 for Prince to have his surgery.
"So we are making a plea to the public to help us by making any donations possible to our PayPal account.
"Everyone at Guardian Angels Dog Rescue and Prince would like to thank you for any support given.
"Without the operation to realign the kneecaps he will be in constant pain, unable to walk far which for a 10-month-old would be devastating and later in life develop arthritis."
Donations to help Prince on his surgery questions can be made via guardianangelsdogrescue@yahoo.com.
Volunteers at the not-for-profit centre care for dogs until a home is found for them. It relies on public donations and fundraising to run.
