A woman was taken to hospital after fire crews rushed to a crash in Ramsgate in the early hours of this morning.

A car had overturned and hit a wall at the M256 junction with Manston Road.

The incident happened just before 1.30am.

A police spokesman said: "Police received a report of a single-vehicle collision at 1.26am on Saturday, July 21.

"Officers attended the scene on the A256 near the junction with Manston Road in Ramsgate along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"A woman was taken to a local hospital as a precaution."

Firefighters helped make the scene and assisted other emergency services at the incident.
