Thanet firework displays and bonfire nights 2019

Fireworks will be lighting up the sky over the Thanet in the coming days.

A number of events have been organised in the lead up to and on bonfire night.

Minster’s firework display will take place on the recreation ground in St Mildred’s Road at 7pm tomorrow.

Hot food and drink will be served from 6pm. Entry is free.

Meanwhile, at Bell Meadow in St Nicholas-at-Wade tomorrow, the pavilion will open at 6pm, with fireworks from 7pm. There is no charge for this event.

St Saviour’ School in Westgate-on-Sea will also have a display at 7pm. Tickets are available from the school.

On Saturday, Quex Park will be holding a bonfire night gathering from 4pm.

The event will finish at 9pm, with displays at 6pm and 7.30pm. Bon Giovi Tribute Band will play at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £13.50 for adults, £11.50 for children aged 15 and below, or £45 for a family of two adults and two children.

The price for one carer and adults is £20.85, or £18.25 for a child accompanied by a carer.

On Tuesday, November 5, fireworks are set to sparkle over Viking Bay at 8pm.

Hot and cold food will be available on Victoria Gardens and from the bandstand kiosk prior to this.

Entertainment at the bandstand will take place from 6pm. Entry is free.
