Broadstairs: Two arrested after four assaulted near Viking Bay

Two teenagers have been arrested after four people were allegedly assaulted in Broadstairs.

Police were called to a disturbance in Harbour Street shortly after 3.30pm on Sunday, May 6.

It was reported a group of people were involved in an altercation on the beach by Viking Bay before they dispersed into surrounding streets.

Officers attended and a man in his 20s was found with an face injury, and was taken to hospital.

Following enquiries, it was reported a further three men has been assaulted during the incident.

One of which, a man in his 50s, had sustained cuts and bruises to his face.

Two 18-year-old men from Rochester were arrested, one for affray and the other for assault.

They have been released on police bail until May 18, pending further enquiries.
