Following the announcement of the Scenic Railway opening, a new ride is joining the list of attractions for Screamland.

A family-friendly Ghost Train will give riders all the fun of the scare as they go on a journey with ghouls and monsters.

From October 26 to October 30, the original pleasure park will turn into a festival of fear with evening scare attractions for older visitors and daytime tricks and treats for younger guests.

Other daytime attractions include Abramacabre - a magical mirror maze where ghostly magician The Amazing Mystero prowls the passageways in search of his beastly bunny.

Among the characters are Ice Scream Man - Margate's darkest and grungiest ice scream vendor.

Monstrous Menagerie is a zany Victorian character entertaining and repelling children with spiders, lizards and bugs.

The Strange Sisters will offer crystal ball readings and there will be pumpkin carving sessions.

On Halloween itself, Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave will host a spooky afternoon in The Ballroom from 1pm until 3pm, with DJs, craft activities with Captain Cookie and a baby chill out and play area.

Guests are encouraged to wear their finest Halloween fancy dress and try out the multi-sensory dance floor complete with bubble machines, glitter cannons and a giant parachute dance finale.

Dreamland CEO Eddie Kemsley said: "We are delighted to see the arrival of our Ghost Train just in time for the region’s largest scare festival, Screamland and half term Halloween.

"It wouldn’t be the same without a ghost train at this time of year and alongside this, there are lots of activities for young children and their families during the day.
