Brothers Peter and Kevin Noble – members of up-and-coming local indie band Salvador Charlie – have a very special reason to hope their gig on Saturday, November 5, is a big success.

They are headlining Live @ The Pavilion, an evening of music at the Pavilion in Broadstairs, organised by the Mayor and Mayoress of Broadstairs & St Peter’s, Cllrs David and Mave Saunders, to raise money for their chosen charity, the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Said Mave: “The event is particularly important to brothers Kevin and Peter as their mother Christina was diagnosed with MS earlier this year. Multiple sclerosis is a neurological condition mainly affecting the central nervous system and spinal cord.

"Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20-40, but it can affect younger and older people too. Almost twice as many women have MS than men.”

The charity concert is to raise money and awareness for the MS Society.

Doors will open from 7pm to midnight. Tickets are £8 in advance/£10 on the door and will be available from The Pavilion and other outlets in and around Broadstairs.

The event will be showcasing young exciting local talent with performances from bands Salvador Charlie, The Locals, Running With Scissors and Scott Adams.

There will also be local up-and-coming comedians, an auction to win a skiing holiday, and a raffle to win some great prizes donated by local businesses, including a helicopter ride.
