Girl assaulted by boy in Lloyd Road in Broadstairs

A 12-year-old girl was kicked in the leg by a schoolboy in one of three incidents reported to police outside a train station within two weeks.

Officers were called to Lloyd Road in Broadstairs on March 13, 18 and 27 regarding disturbances involving children.

Police are investigating an assault reported to them at about 3.40pm on March 13, in which a girl aged 12 was kicked by a boy of the same age who was known to her.

Ambulance crews checked the girl as a precaution but she did not sustain any visible injuries.

Police were then sent back to Lloyd Road at about 3.30pm on March 18 after it was reported several school children were causing a disturbance.

On arrival, no victims made themselves known to officers, but the matter remains under investigation.

On March 27, police were called to an incident outside the station at about 4.48pm after a male was assaulted.

They attended with officers from officers from British Transport Police and inquiries are ongoing.
