A report of spray-paint graffiti across wheelie bins and other property has sparked a police appeal for witnesses.

Officers are investigating the report of graffiti in Minnis Road, Birchington, which happened between 6pm on Friday, August 25 and 6am on Saturday, August 26.

Inspector Lara Connor said: "Our officers are making enquiries in the area to establish the extent of the damage, and urge any residents who received criminal damage on their property along the road and have not yet reported it, to contact officers with details.

"Graffiti might not appear to be a serious crime to some but it is anti-social and we appreciate the detrimental impact it can have in an area for residents."

Anyone who might have witnessed the damage, or have information which could assist officers, is asked to call police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/40203/17.

Alternatively, contact Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
