The broken-hearted father of twins allegedly murdered by their mother has taken to social media to describe his slow recovery from grief.
Six weeks ago, 23-month old toddlers Jake and Chloe Ford were found dead at their home in Castle Drive near Margate.
Their father, Steven Ford, this morning shared a tweet saying he is making "progress", with the hashtag "stronger than yesterday".
He wrote: "Exactly 6 weeks on from the worst day of my life, I've actually managed to get a full night sleep. Progress!"
It was accompanied by the photo of himself, showing a tattoo in the shape of an infinity sign with the names of his children and "forever" weaved in.
Mr Ford is training to take part in the Ashford Ultra White Collar Boxing event, which takes place at the Kent Showground on March 30.
The fundraiser, which will feature a series of boxing matches, is in aid of Cancer Research UK.
More than £2,000 has already been donated on Mr Ford's JustGiving page - smashing the £500 target.
He said: "My children were everything to me. They were my world.
"I've decided to take part in this fund raising event to show that it is possible to live life after death.
"I made a promise to Jake and Chloe that I'll be the best man that I can be. It starts today."
Samantha Ford, 37, of Castle Drive, Margate, has been charged with the murder of Jake and Chloe Ford.
Her case was briefly heard during a directions hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, January 31
No plea was entered and she will next appear at the same court on Friday, May 17.
The inquest into the twins' death was opened last month
Mr Ford previously released a heartbreaking tribute and poem to his children.
It read:
Beautiful Jake and Chloe
Every thought holds you close;
Every tear is for you both;
My two perfect souls will live on within my heart;
Jake’s laugh, Chloe’s song, beautiful smiles will never part;
Together always, forever young;
I’ll never let you go but now I set you free;
I promise to be the best man I can be;
Gone but never to be forgotten;
Jake and Chloe forever;
Daddy loves you xx
