A Hollywood couple caused a stir after popping up at a seafront restaurant to enjoy a dinner date.
Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek was spotted at seafood bar Buoy and Oyster on Margate High Street, alongside new squeeze Emma Corrin.
Simon and Nadine Morriss, who run Buoy and Oyster alongside their gourmet chippie Beach Buoys, confirmed they visited last Wednesday and said they were “so excited” to have hosted the A-list pair.
The restaurateurs said: “They had some local seafood and a couple of glasses of wine.
“They were very low key and really friendly to all of the team who were very pleased and surprised to see them in our seaside town on a sunny afternoon.
“We hope that they enjoyed their time together in Margate and to see them back again soon.”
Corrin, who plays Princess Diana in The Crown, also saw in the new year in Margate, rose to fame following their appearance in the Netflix hit series.
The 27-year-old actor, who was born in the county in Tunbridge Wells, also attended Margate Pride at the weekend and was pictured marching in the parade with the nonbinary flag tucked into their back pocket.
Malek, 42, whose first big break was in the popular Night at the Museum film series, shot into the mainstream with a starring role in streaming hit Mr Robot and portraying icon Freddie Mercury in a blockbuster biopic about the Queen frontman.
The pair's Margate dinner date came just days after the news broke that Malek had split with his girlfriend of five years, Lucy Boynton.
Corrin, who identifies as nonbinary and uses the pronouns they/them, and Malek were first spotted together at Bruce Springsteen's BST Hyde Park concert in London on July 8.
While enjoying their £125 seafood platter the couple were pictured leaning in close to share kisses and intimate conversation.
The Buoy and Oyster opened in 2015 and has been awarded two AA Rosettes and was named ‘Kent restaurant of the Year’ in 2018.
Margate has welcomed several celebrities in recent months including Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal, Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Tommy Lenk and Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall.
