Ramsgate police appeal for witnesses after boys are robbed on their mobile phones

Boys were robbed of their mobile phones after two teens wearing hoodies asked them for the time.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the robbery in Ramsgate on Friday.

It is reported that two boys, aged 14 and 15 were walking along King Street, at about 7.40pm,when they were approached by two teenage boys dressed in black with their hoods up.

They asked the victims for the time, prompting both of them to take their mobile phones out of their pockets.

The two teenagers, aged between 16 and 17 then threatened the beat them up if they didn’t hand over their phones and money.

Both victims handed over their phones and the two offenders then ran off down Belmont Street.
