After a year and a half of hair growing, Josh Palmer has faced the chop in a bid to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

As well as fundraising, the 23-year-old has donated his hair to the Princess Trust.

Mr Palmer, of Ramsgate, is aiming to raise £500 for the national charity and has so far tipped the halfway mark.

The shave took place at the end of January at Ramsgate Leisure Centre by hairdresser Kerry Newby.
