Jewellery stolen in aggravated burglary in Callis Court Road in Broadstairs

Two men brandishing a blade raided a house in the early hours of the morning as the frightened victim hid in their bedroom.

At about 1am last Monday (March 4), the homeowner was woken by banging on the front door of her home in Callis Court Road, Broadstairs.

She opened her bedroom door to look and saw the shadow of someone outside the residence.

Two men then broke in and started searching a room.

Items including keys, electrical devices and jewellery were stolen.

It is believed both men were wearing dark clothing, tracksuit bottoms and had scarves covering their faces.

The victim was not hurt during the incident, but told officers they were carrying what looked like a knife.

Officers are appealing for anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area to call police on 01843 222289, quoting 46/41045/19, or Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555111.
