Emergency crews were called after a man in his 60s collapsed at the Nationwide in Broadstairs High Street this morning.
A Kent air ambulance crew provided clinical support to paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance service (SECAMB) who were called at 11.20am.
They spent an hour at the scene stabilising the man, before taking him to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford by road.
A SECAMB spokesman said the man had not initially been fully conscious.
